7:30pm St Kilda Saints vs Western Bulldogs @ Marvel Stadium
There isn’t much between the Saints and Bulldogs with betting markets, but we give the slight edge to the Bulldogs who will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing performance against the Bombers.
It has been a scratchy start for both teams, but the Bulldogs have more upside than the Saints, and playing at Marvel Stadium won’t worry them.
The $2.12 could shorten throughout the week.

7:40pm Adelaide Crows vs Essendon Bombers @ Adelaide Oval
Adelaide caused the upset of the round last week against Carlton, and will be looking to put together consecutive wins in front of their home crowd on Friday night.
Expectations were high heading into 2024, but if they can’t beat Essendon at home, they have no chance of making the finals.
The Bombers are coming off a strong win over the Bulldogs, but consistency is a major issue for the Bombers, so getting a –12.5 line for Adelaide is too good to pass up.

This is another close game between the Magpies and Power, and we’re happy to have Collingwood on our ticket.
They have made a slow start to 2024, but they are usually a team that builds in confidence as the weeks roll by.
Port Adelaide has been solid, but we’re not fans of backing them on the road, so take Collingwood to get the win.

We respect the way Carlton have started the season, especially considering their tapered pre-season expectations. However, the Giants should be too strong.

It took the Lions a few weeks to get off the mark, but they did so with an impressive win over Melbourne.
They could use that momentum to beat the Geelong Cats, who have made the better start. However, the Cats are outsiders for this game, and we’re not surprised.
We expect Brisbane to kick on with it now.

The Eagles have had no betting support and rightfully so.
Despite their surprise victory over Richmond last week, they are one of the worst teams in the AFL – rivaled only by the North Melbourne Kangaroos – so we’re avoiding backing them.
An easy win is likely for Fremantle, which is the –40.5 favourite. That’s a big line, but backing the Eagles is throwing away money in this game.

It has been a good start to the year for the Swans, who are the –22.5 line favourites against Gold Coast.
We have been impressed by the Swans, who have a strong team on their day, and the Suns don’t always finish off games in the second half.
That was the case against GWS, so we’re backing the home side to cover the line.

There are only two teams the Kangaroos can beat; one is the Eagles, and the other is the Hawks.

We haven’t been impressed with Hawthorn, so this is a rare time when we’ll have North Melbourne on our ticket.
