7:20pm Sydney Swans vs Western Bulldogs @ SCG
The Swans played well against Richmond last week but were unable to get the win. The same goes for the Bulldogs, who failed to produce the goods in the second half against Collingwood.
We saw more from the Bulldogs to suggest they can score a minor upset on Thursday as the $2.08 underdogs.
If they can get good clearance from the centre bounce, they should win.

Sydney vs Western Bulldogs – betr Same Game Multi

There is plenty of value with the Bulldogs, so take them to win to game outright. We also expect it to be a tough defensive battle, so we’re not expecting many points to be scored and we’ll take the under total match points. It could be an 80-75 scoreline, which favours the Bulldogs. Cody Weightman comes off a four-goal outing, so include him to score two or more goals, which boosts the same game multi price.

Melbourne comes through a tough victory against St Kilda, and that should do them plenty of good against the Brisbane Lions.
Brisbane was far too good for the West Coast Eagles last week, but the low-level opposition won’t hold them in good stead on Friday.
Look for Melbourne to push for a top two spot on the AFL ladder.

1:45pm Collingwood Magpies vs Fremantle Dockers @ MCG
Collingwood is on top of the rankings and it should have no problem getting past the disappointing Dockers.
Fremantle were terrible against Carlton last week, so our expectations are low against the best team in the competition.
Covering 40.5 points won’t be easy, but we’re not betting against the favourites.

There continues to be solid betting support for the Suns, but we’re not convinced.
They come off a loss to Port Adelaide, and although facing one of the best teams in the competition, the defence had little to be desired.
St Kilda is a handy team on its day, and given the $2.32 odds, we’re happy to pick the Saints to score an upset win on the road.

We were impressed with Carlton’s win over Fremantle, but waiting for the Blues are the Power, who seek the top spot on the ladder.
Port Adelaide were too good for the Suns last week, and although playing on the road is always harder, it should have the edge over Carlton.
Bookmakers have Port at $1.65, which is a value price.

Geelong scored a convincing win over North Melbourne last week, which was to be expected given the level of opposition.
It faces a tougher test against Essendon, which scored an impressive win over the Adelaide Crows. The 115-97 win didn’t show off its defence, but the attack was on fire.
The Bombers are playing well enough to keep it close and cover the spread.
Betting tip: Essendon +18.5 @ $1.90

Adelaide was easily beaten by Essendon on Sunday, but it did make a slight comeback in the final quarter.
Despite the loss, returning home to the Adelaide Oval could be all they need to get their winning ways back on track against GWS.
We haven’t been overly impressed with the Giants, who are getting desperate for wins, but this should be too tough.

1:10pm North Melbourne Kangaroos vs Hawthorn Hawks @ Marvel Stadium
We wouldn’t usually recommend backing the Kangaroos, but this could be their time to strike.
They face the Hawks, who are favoured to win at $1.54, but we don’t see much value in betting on them in this situation.
North Melbourne needs a win for its morale, so take the odds.

The Eagles are terrible and another big loss is likely against the Richmond Tigers on Sunday.

We expect Richmond to pile on the points and put the Eagles to bed early.
