The Lions roared back into premiership contention with a big win over St Kilda last week, and now they eye the Tigers.
Richmond has been playing solid footy and it comes off a much-needed bye, so it will be refreshed and ready to play well.
However, Brisbane holds the aces and playing at the Gabba should give them enough of an advantage to cover the spread.
Betting tip: Brisbane –18.5 @ $1.90

Brisbane vs Richmond – betr Same Game Multi
We’ve teamed up with betr to provide the GoBet Multi for the first game of every round of the 2023 AFL season.
We expect a low-scoring and tough defensive battle. The Lions should have too much for the Tigers, so we’re picking the Lions to cover the –18.5 spread, and we’re also including the under total match points. It could be an 80-60 score line, so include those two options in your AFL game same multi. Include Eric Hipwood to score two or more goals, as he’s coming off a four-goal showing.

Geelong got back to its best with a win over Melbourne last week and that momentum could continue Friday night.
However, the Swans come off a 205-34 smashing of the West Coast Eagles, and although the Eagles are beyond terrible, it was still an awesome performance.
Geelong must nullify that early momentum, but it should get it done.
Betting tip: Geelong @ $1.73

Adelaide gave Collingwood plenty to worry about last week, but it shouldn’t have much problem putting up a big number against the Kangaroos.
North Melbourne aren’t doing enough to excite us, and with bookmakers setting the line at 41.5, punters should expect one-way traffic.

Fremantle hasn’t been the most consistent team going around, but it could be good enough to spring an upset against the Bulldogs.
We haven’t been overly impressed with the Bulldogs so far, and they’re too short for our liking at $1.40. Therefore, we’re taking the Dockers.
Punters get $2.96 and +15.5, which should be more than enough.

Collingwood had to deal with the stress against Adelaide last week, but it’s still the best team in the competition.
There is some trepidation with bookmakers, with the Magpies at –12.5, which we thought we would be much higher against the Suns.
We’re prepared to risk it and back Collingwood to score a convincing road victory.

Essendon was disappointing last week and we’re not sure taking on Port Adelaide is the recipe for a bounce back win.
The Power are well-rested and ready to show their best at the MCG, and punters get a favourable line of –8.5, which is well worth taking.
Essendon is capable on its day, but Port should be too strong.

Carlton hasn’t been the easiest team to follow for punters, but it should have too much in the tank for the Hawks.
There is much more upside with the Blues, who could make a push for the playoffs with a win on Sunday afternoon.
Bookmakers have the line at 16.5, which is sizable, but Carlton has too many guns.

Melbourne looks to bounce back following a loss to Geelong, but it played well enough to win that game.

The current line is –26.5, so Melbourne is expected to win comfortably, and we think they will.

The Eagles are terrible and they have no chance of beating the Saints on Sunday.

Take the Saints to keep the hurt on.
