About Tom Waterhouse

Born in 1982, Tom Waterhouse is a fourth-generation member of Australia’s most prominent bookmaking family.

He was born to Robbie and Gai Waterhouse, both key figures in the Australian horse racing industry.

His mother, Gai Waterhouse, is one of Australia’s leading horse trainers, and his father, Rob Waterhouse, is a famous bookmaker.

Growing up in such an environment, Tom was introduced to horse racing and betting at a young age.

Tom attended Sydney Church of England Grammar School and later pursued a degree in Commerce at the University of Sydney.

Following his graduation, he travelled to the UK and worked in various roles in the British horse racing industry to gain global exposure.

Tom Waterhouse Career Beginnings

Returning to Australia in 2002, Tom Waterhouse officially entered the family business by becoming an on-course bookmaker.

His debut into the world of bookmaking came at the Warwick Farm racecourse. Notably, Tom was the youngest bookmaker in Sydney at that time.

Establishment of TomWaterhouse.com

In 2010, Tom Waterhouse took his expertise online by launching TomWaterhouse.com.

The platform quickly became one of Australia’s leading betting sites and betting apps, known for its unique and prolific TV advertising campaigns and its engaging interface.

Within three years of its launch, the website had over 200,000 registered customers.

In 2013, the British bookmaker William Hill acquired the TomWaterhouse.com Australian bookmaker in a deal reported to be worth up to $100 million.

Tom remained as the CEO of the Australian division of William Hill until 2018, when the company decided to exit the Australian market.

Post William Hill Era

After the sale of William Hill Australia, Tom Waterhouse turned his focus back towards providing betting advice. In 2018, he launched a subscription-based horse racing tipping service.

Waterhouse’s team offers excellent customer service, with prompt and friendly responses to queries or issues.

Our Conclusion on Tom Waterhouse

Tom Waterhouse’s journey in the Australian betting industry has seen him transition from an on-course bookmaker to the head of a leading online betting platform, and finally, to the provider of a reputable horse racing tipping service.

His rich lineage in horse racing, coupled with his deep understanding of the betting industry, has established him as a reliable figure in the Australian betting scene.

His tipping service, while not a surefire way to profit, offers a platform for racing enthusiasts to make informed betting decisions, learn more about betting strategies, and engage more deeply with the sport of horse racing.
