NRL ROUND 8 – EXPERT BETTING TIPS & ODDS

nrl-round-8-tips

A great week for all our tipsters last week, with a great result of 7/8 with only the Rabbitohs letting us down in the last 20mins of their match against the Bulldogs to eventually be convincingly defeated by 15 points. Round 8 has a couple of interesting matchups and also sees the bookies making some very interesting early calls.

ROUND 8

Raiders $1.25 v Sea Eagles $3.90

The Sea Eagles will definitely compete in the game and showed there attacking flair last week against the Storm putting 26 points on one of the best defensive side in the competition. The Raiders have been too good these past few weeks and don’t seem like losing too many more in the near future. Rapana should be fit to play for the Raiders this weekend following a knee scare last week.  Raiders by 8

Rabbitohs $3.00 v Broncos $1.38

The Rabbitohs showed up for 60 mins in defence against the Bulldogs on Friday night, though offered very little in attack. The Broncos will be a tough match up for the Rabbitohs, who have been a very unpredictable team in 2017. Just holding on against the Titans last weekend with some final minute Matt Gillett brilliance, the Broncos were able to hold off the Titans by 2 points. The Broncos will be too good. Broncos by 16

Eels $2.20 v Panthers $1.67

This will be one of the games of the Round. With both teams not delivering to their full potential so far this year, both teams have a lot to prove. The Panthers attack looked to be in disarray against the Sharks and they middle of the field couldn’t handle the sharks pack. The eels on the other hand just held off and energetic Tigers outfit to win by 4 points. The Eels to just get home in a tight one. Eels by 2.

Cowboys $1.35 v Knights $3.20

The poor old Knights were never going to win against the Roosters and only the Knights hopeful will give them any chance this weekend against the Cowboys. The Cowboys missed out on the 2 points against competition leaders the Dragons and make shift halfback John Asiata looked good. With a week in the Cowboys 7 under his belt, Asiata will look to improve again this weekend. Cowboys are always tough at home and against the Knights, will definitely get home. Cowboys by 18

Sharks $1.27 v Titans $3.80

The Titans attacked fired against the Broncos in the battle of the M1 and looked to be taking the bragging rights back home to the beach. Though through possible lack of experience or maybe just one lapse in concentration, the Titans headed back down to the Gold Coast and remain second last on the ladder. The Sharks on the other hand kept the Panthers to just 2 points and piled on 28 to gain their fifth win of the season. The Titans will be competitive though the Sharks tough defence, will make it hard for the Titans. Sharks by 10

Tigers $2.50 v Bulldogs $1.53

The Tigers only lost to the Eels by 4 points on Easter Monday and were fired up and full of confidence after beating the Cowboys the previous week. The Tigers looked good in periods and if they can stay consistent for 80mins they could give the Bulldogs a run for their money. We’re still not sure if the Bulldogs fired up after 60mins or if the Rabbitohs went to sleep, but either way in the final 20mins the bulldogs added 3 unanswered tries to give them the win. The bulldogs are a tough team and enjoy the grind and I think in this game it’s that resilience that will get them over the line. Bulldogs by 8

Roosters $1.67 v Dragons $2.20

The Rooster snapped back after an embarrassing loss to the Broncos 2 weeks ago, though is beating Newcastle by 18 anything to brag about? The Roosters will be a good test for the Dragons who are looking to cement their position furthers as the competitions benchmark. I think the early odds here are definitely unfair for the Dragons and think they have what it takes to win. Dragons by 6

Storm $1.30 v Warriors $3.56

The Storm are coming off a close win against manly and almost leaked more points in one match than they have all year. The Storm will definitely be getting back to basics this week and working on their defence.  To Warriors are still settling in with their new combinations and definitely lacked in attacking flair against the Raiders. Leading at half time by two points the Warriors didn’t score a point in the second half. The Storm are equal competition leaders for a reason and think they will be tough to beat. Storm by 10
