It was a terrible week last week for tipsters if you followed our tips, only managing 3/8. Round 6 saw the Storm lose their first game of the season to the Sharks and also saw the steady rise of the Dragons go to the next level and are current competition leaders. Round 6 also saw quite a few injuries to key big name players, which could definitely unsettle a few teams over the next few weeks.

Round 7

Bulldogs $1.80 v Rabbitohs $2.00

Both teams will show up on Thursday night full of confidence, coming of wins in Round 6. The Bulldogs beat the Knights by 10 points which was a game full of ups and downs and went right down the final minutes’ courtesy of the Bulldogs poor goal kicking. The Rabbitohs stepped up last Friday night and have started to find their feet after losing star fullback Greg Inglis earlier in the year. The Rabbitohs were resilient and played out a tough hard fought victory over the Panthers, with Adam Reynolds kicking a field goal in the final seconds of the match. If the Rabbitohs can play like they did against the Panthers two weeks in a row the match will be theirs. Rabbitohs by 6

Knights $3.70 v Roosters $1.28

The Knights were unlucky against the Bulldogs last week and stayed in the game right until the closing few minutes. The Knights lacked in attacking creativity only scoring 2 tries. The Knights will have to turn things around this weekend if they want to win again this year. The Roosters got pants by the Broncos up at Suncorp. The Broncos proved the Roosters big men hate being run ragged and found defensive weaknesses out wide. I’m sure the Roosters would be correcting their flaws this week. Roosters by 20

Broncos $1.25 v Titans $4.00

The Titans got smashed by the Raiders by 26 points and have a lot to work on if they want to be taken serious by opposition teams this season. The Broncos schooled the Roosters in front of packed Suncorp Stadium and always lift for their home crowd. The Broncos will be missing play maker Ben Hunt due to Injury, though have full confidence in any of the young playmakers set to be the replacement. Broncos by 24

Sea Eagles $2.40 v Storm $1.58

The Sea Eagles suffered a disappointing 25 point loss to the Dragons last weekend after things were starting to look up. The Storm have lost their bragging rights as they only undefeated team in the competition only managing a penalty goal in the 18th minute to go down to the Shark 2 – 11. The Storm will be missing Will Chambers this week, but as we all know the storms depth can’t be questioned and will have plenty of suitable replacements on standby. Storm by 12

Raiders $1.36 v Warriors $3.16

The Warriors beat the Eels last week and put in a solid and committed performance for Kieran Foran’s first game back against his old club. The Raiders have been gaining plenty of momentum over the past couple of weeks and are coming off a big win over the Titans. The Warriors are a different side with Foran at the helm though I think they Raiders will just hold on. Raiders by 4

Dragons $1.42 v Cowboys $2.90

The Cowboys lost Jonathon Thurston last week due to injury and more embarrassing lost against the Tigers by 10 points. With the Cowboys set to take on the Dragons with a few regular players missing, it could be a tough match. The Dragons are on fire at the moment and are running like a well-oiled machine. There forwards are showing up and taking tough carries, the backs are showcasing their pace and skills and are the team all NRL fans enjoy watching at the moment. Dragons by 26

Panthers $1.70 v Sharks $2.15

The Panthers last week lost to a Strong and determined Rabbitohs team by a heart breaking field goal in the final minutes of the match. The Sharks played their best defensive game all year and beat the Storm by 9 points and kept them to no tries after 80 mins. The Sharks will be missing a few familiar faces this week, but I believe they can get the job done. Sharks by 4

Eels $1.65 v Tigers $2.25

The Tigers will have a mega boost of confidence after beating the Cowboys in Townsville last weekend. Though I think their fairy tale season turn around will be short lived. The Eels though coming of a loss to Warriors are a quality outfit and will set the Tigers in their place this week. Both teams will be well rested as this is the first Monday afternoon game of the season. Eels by 8
