After 3 rounds the Roosters and the Storm are the only two teams who remain undefeated. With a roller coaster start to the season, every team has won one match, with for and against playing a big role for all teams who sit in positions 7th – 16th. With only 4 from 8 last weekend hopefully we can have a better result this weekend.
Rabbitohs $3.05 v Roosters $1.38
The inform Roosters take on a depleted Rabbitohs side this Thursday night. The Rabbitohs will be without George Burgess, Braidon Burns and Hymel after early guilty pleas at the judiciary. The Roosters have not lost a game this season and look to be improving every week. I think the Roosters will be too good. Roosters by 14
Panthers $1.20 v Knights $4.50
The Knights have shown glimmers of improvement this year and only went down to the Rabbitohs last weekend by 6 points. The Panthers are also coming off the back of a heartbreaking 2 point loss to the competitions in form Roosters. Penrith have had an up and down start to the season, and will get the job done Friday night. Penrith by 8.
Broncos $1.67 v Raiders $2.20
The Broncos Currently sit 9th on the NRL ladder after the opening 3 rounds, and have only lost there last 2 games by a combined 3 points. The Broncos defence was resilient against the Storm last Thursday and the team will be desperately seeking their 2nd win for the year. The Raiders welcomed their first win of the year with a 40 point thrashing of the Tigers on Sunday afternoon. With the return of Jason Croker the captain added a new voice to the field and led by example all afternoon. It’s always tough for any team playing the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium but I think the Raider might just get home. Raiders by 6
Sea Eagles $2.00 v Bulldogs $1.80
Both the Sea Eagles and the Bulldogs will be playing with full confidence after winning their first games of 2017. The Bulldogs gelled well as they beat the Warriors and the Sea Eagles put on a show in Townsville and showed the competition what they have to offer. The Sea Eagles defence stepped up and kept the Cowboys to only one try. The Bulldogs big men will be will be hungry for their second win and will lead by example. Bulldogs by 8
Eels $1.95 v Sharks $1.85
With fully fit teams, I would predict this game would be tight. The Eels still looked competitive with out Corey Norman against the Titans, though when they lost hooker Kaysa Pritchard the seemed to have lost all Direction. The Sharks on the other hand have a clean bill of health and coming off their round 3 loss to the Dragons will be keen for redemption. Sharks by 10
Titans $2.50 v Cowboys $1.53
The Cowboys looked to of lost their way with out enforcer Jason Taumalolo leading the way forward. With his hulking runs and quick play the balls the Cowboys offered nothing in attack against the Sea Eagles last weekend only scoring one try. The Titans will go into this match full of confidence after beating the top of the table leaders on Friday night. If the Titans can improve on last weeks performance and find that little bit extra again, they will be too good for the Cowboys. Titans by 10
Tigers $2.75 v Storm $1.45
The Tigers got hammered 46 – 6 against the Raiders last weekend and follow that disaster have sacked coach Jason Taylor on Monday. The Storm are once again a very steady ship and welcomed back Billy Slater in Round 3 with open arms. Defence is the key to the Storms game plan having leaked only 28 points in their opening 3 rounds. Melbourne have clearly been the team to beat so far this year and currently sit on top of the table. Storm by 20
Dragons $1.80 v Warriors $2.00
The Warriors started the season well and have faded in the last 2 weeks. Being beaten convincingly by the Storm and Bulldogs. The odds would suggest this game will be tight though the current form from both team would suggest otherwise. The Dragons have had a great start to 2017 and will look to stay in the Winner circle again this week after beating the 2016 Premiers by 6 points on Sunday night. Dragons by 14
