NRL Round 21 – Expert Betting Tips & Odds

nrl-tips-21

Last week we tipped 7 from 8, with only the Sea Eagles letting us down. Though congratulations must go to the Dragons who played out of their skin in what was a fast faced and highly entertaining game. Thursday night kicks off Round 21 of the NRL season with the Panthers taking on the Bulldogs. The Panthers have left their run for the top 8 late, but with the form of young half Nathan Cleary anythings possible. It will be  interesting to see how the Storm go this week with out Cam Smith against the Sea Eagles and possibly the clash of the Round will see the Roosters take on the Cowboys.

NRL ROUND 21

Panthers $1.42 v Bulldogs $2.89

The Bulldogs were purely outclassed by the Broncos last Thursday night, going down by 30 points. The Bulldogs have struggled all year with their attacking options and their defence had kept them within a chance. The Panthers beat the titans by 8 points and will need to win the remainder of this season matches and have other results to go their way to make the finals. Nathan Cleary has led his team in the past few weeks and we look forward to see if the young half can lead his side home to a finals birth.

Warriors $2.35 v Sharks $1.60

The Warriors lost to the Cowboys by 12 points and did well to compete with out their go to man Shaun Johnson. The Warriors sit in 12th position on the ladder and would be fair to say their 2017 campaign is over. The Sharks put in a dominant performance against the Rabbitohs and easily won by 14 points. The Sharks must win and defend well to maintain their top 4 position and every match now will be crucial if the Sharks with to defend the premiership title.

Eels $2.71 v Broncos $1.47

The Eels won by a field goal in thriller against the Tigers on Sunday afternoon. Errors for the Eels were the difference of what kept the game in the balance. The Eels will be with out Clint Gutherson for the remainder of the season as he has to have knee surgery this week. The Broncos proved last week they are definitely a Grand final contender. The Broncos beat the Bulldogs by 30 points and will be looking to put on a similar performance against the Eels. James Roberts looked dangerous in space and bagged a double and Andrew McCullough was dangerous around the ruck. I think the Broncos will be too strong.

Knights $3.65 v Dragons $1.28

The Knights still sit dead last and lost against the Roosters by 24 points. It will be another tough week at the office for the Knights as the Dragons are coming off possibly a momentum swinging 52 -22 against the Sea Eagle to keep their hope of a top 8 finish alive. The Dragons will be too strong for the Knights and will win comfortably.

Rabbitohs $2.52 v Raiders $1.53

The toughest thing about tipping this season has been the Rabbitohs, you just never know what team will turn up. The Rabbitohs have the side on paper to give any of the top 8 sides a run for their money though haven’t been able to get the results this season. The Raiders lost by only 6 to the Storm and will be a better team for the performance. These 2 teams are in the same position as it will be unlikely they will feature in the finals in 2017. I thinks the Raiders consistency will be the difference.

Roosters $1.63 v Cowboys $2.29

The Roosters put on a strong performance against the Knights and only allowed them to score 1 try. The Roosters will need to maintain the same defensive effort against the Cowboys to keep second spot on the ladder. The Cowboys currently sit in 5th place with only an 11 point, point differential the difference of a top 4 finish. The Cowboys have building since loosing Thurston almost 2 months ago and will be fighting hard for victory this week.

Storm $1.65 v Sea Eagles $2.25

The Sea Eagles were embarrassed by the Dragons last week loosing by 30 points. They will be looking for redemption this week. Daley Cherry – Evans will also be using this opportunity to show his worth to Queensland coach Kevin Walters, as the no. 7 position is still in the air for 2018 Origin campaign, with Cooper Cronk with out a team for next season. The last time Melbourne played the Sea Eagles without Cam Smith they lost the Grand Final by 40 points. Melbourne are a strong defensive team and should have enough experience to cover the loss.

Storm by 2 (BET NOW with Sportsbet)

Titans $1.30 v Tigers $3.52

The Tigers are second last on the competition table and proved their position against the Eels last Sunday. The Tigers made some crucial errors and made poor decisions when the match was in the balance and lost by 1 point. The Titans lost by 8 to the Panthers, though are definitely a far superior side to the Tigers. Ash Taylor will be fired up for a big game and get his side back into the winners circle. The Titans will win the match comfortably
