Round 20 of the NRL welcomes back Thursday night football when the Broncos take on the Bulldogs at Suncorp Stadium. All 16 teams will be back it at it this weekend as State of origin is over and the bye rounds are complete for another year. Odds have tightened in Melbourne’s favour for the premiership coming into $2.65 with the next closest being the Roosters $6.50 and last years winners the Sharks $7.00. There will be plenty a tight clashes this weekend though the match of the round this weekend is Panther v Titans on Saturday afternoon.

NRL ROUND 19

Broncos $1.34 v Bulldogs $3.29

The Bulldogs will be fresh from a week off and will be putting everything on the line as they take on the Broncos up in Brisbane. The Bulldogs scored 3 tries in the last 5 minutes against the Knights a fortnight ago to take a 2 point victory in the dying seconds. The Broncos played the Knights last weekend and started very slow, going into the half time break 6 points down. The Broncos eventually found their feet in the second half and took home the win 34 – 22. With the Broncos consistency, ability and will to win they will be tough to tip against.

Roosters $1.13 v Knights $6.00

The Knights are still chasing their third win of the year and have been close in recent weeks. The Knights play tough strong footy in patches though have the habit of loosing their way at crucial times in tough games. The Rooster will enter this match recouped from a week off and currently sit second on the premiership table. This match will be easy to tip the Roosters, the question is by how much?

Sharks $1.47 v Rabbitohs $2.69

The Rabbitohs had a patch where they looked like a top 8 dark horse. Though there form in the past couple off weeks proves they deserve where they sit on the table. The Rabbitohs consistently make crucial errors in crucial times of matches and never seem to recover. The Sharks are chasing back to back premierships and will be looking to recover after a loss to the Titans sliding down to fifth on the competition table. The Sharks will be fired up this week and a win could see them enter back into the top 4.

Panthers $1.57 v Titans $1.48

This game is our match of the round. Both teams are coming off victories and will be a tough encounter. The Titans enter this match as favourites and rightly so after beating the Sharks by 14 points last weekend. The Panthers beat the Warriors in New Zealand and have been rocks and diamonds this season. A win here could see the Panthers enter the top 8 and a chance for a finals birth.

Panthers by 4 (BET NOW with Sportsbet)

Raiders $2.67 v Storm $1.48

The Raiders beat the Dragons in a golden point thriller last Friday night to take home the 2 points. The Raiders have lost more than their fair share of tight games this year and as a result currently sit 10th on the competition table. The Storm will be fresh from a week off, which was perfect timing given they had 6 players of QLD representative duties. The Storm have firmed as the team to beat this year and will prove that again this weekend. Storms defensive records speak for themselves and they have the ability to build pressure and score tries.

Cowboys $1.36 v Warriors $3.17

The Warriors lost a possible season defining game against the Panthers last week. A victory could have seen them only one more win out of the 8. Unfortunately for them that is not he case and they currently sit in 11th position. The Cowboys have very strong the past few weeks, convincingly beating the Raiders and the Rabbitohs respectively. I think the discipline of the Cowboys will be the difference in this match and we’ll see the Cowboys win by a comfortable margin.

Dragons $2.30 v Sea Eagles $1.62

The Dragon have been disappointing the past few weeks and are slowly sliding out of finals contention. They will have to fire against the Sea Eagles to prove their worth in the competition. The Sea Eagles on the other hand have been playing outstanding footy in recent weeks and will be working hard in this back end of the season to secure a top 4 finish. Led by DCE the Sea Eagles are in great form all around the paddock and will be tough to beat.

Tigers $3.27 v Eels $1.34

The Tigers currently sit second last on the competition table and lost against the Sea Eagles last week. On a positive not they looked good in patches and managed to score 16 points. The will be fresh from what will be more than a week off and should take this match out with ease. We expect a big game from Mitchell Moses as he will be taking on his old club he transferred from mid season, the young half has settled in well at the Eels and has found strong combinations with Corey Norman and Clint Gutherson. Eels will win this match comfortably.
