NRL Round 15 – Expert betting tips & odds

nrl-tips-round-15

Round 15 commences on Friday night as we see the Rabbitohs take on the Titans. Round 15 is the second bye round so far this season, with only four top grade matches to be played. Last week we went ever so close to our first perfect round of 2017 only missing out by one with the Dragons doing down to a much improved Bulldogs side yesterday.

Round 15

Rabbitohs $1.38 v Titans $3.07

The Titans have had some big scores put on them in the past month, in all 3 of their matches they have allowed 20 or more points scored against them. Struggling in attack also, the Titans have only been able to score an average of 10 points. The Titans will be missing Nathan Peats and Jarryd Hayne being unavailable due to Origin duties, which will exhaust their already depleted ranks. Some would say the Rabbitohs have just been unlucky in their past few matches. The Rabbitohs have the ability to keep the game in the balance, though can’t produce the big plays when needed.  The Rabbitohs won’t have any players on State of Origin camp and will be heading in to this match searching for victory. Storm $1.64 v Cowboys $2.27

Both sides had the bye in Round 12 and didn’t get the opportunity to show what their next generation is capable of. With a combined 9 players on Queensland State of origin camp, opportunities will be a plenty for both club’s young stars. In previous rounds the Cowboys have struggled without JT and this week they will be missing both their 7 and 6. With these two influential play makers I think the Cowboys with fail to spark in attack. The Storm are currently the outright number one team in the competition and their performances every week proves why. The Storm will be without the Big 3, though their depth has proven time and time again this season. Storm by 12

Sharks $1.25 v Tigers $4.00

The Tigers consistently prove week in week out why they sit second last on the NRL ladder. They were beaten by 22 points last weekend against a solid Roosters side. The Tigers defence seems to struggle against the more creative ball playing teams and I think this week will be no different. The Sharks sit third on the table and narrowly missed out on the two points against the Storm last week. The have four players missing due to Origin though have quality depth to replace these players. The Sharks will be looking for a strong win this weekend to add confidence moving into the business end of the season.  Sharks by 16

Eels $1.70 v Dragons $2.15

Both sides will be coming into this match with their confidence shot and looking for redemption. The Eels got flogged last weekend in a Cowboys master class and only managed to score one try. The Dragons looked competitive and opened the scoring with a penalty goal late in the first half, though didn’t manage to score again for the remainder of the match. The Dragons are currently in fourth position compared to the Eels 9th and have won on 2 more occasions. I think the Dragons will be back to their best this weekend and will have learned a lot of lesson from their last match and will turn things around this weekend. Dragons by 4
