Every week in the NFL is important and the further we progress into the season the more important every game becomes.
Week 2 was a defining week for many teams – whether they started 2-0 or 0-2. Some teams were able to rebound after a poor loss in the opening week, whereas some teams showed just how tough this season is going to be for their fans.
The marquee games this week include the Lions vs. Falcons, Raiders vs. Redskins and the Cowboys vs. The Cardinals to close the round.

10:30am San Francisco 49ers vs. Los Angeles Rams @ Levi’s Stadium
It’s tough to see the 49ers contend this year, but they showed significant improvement against the Seattle Seahawks and that has forced the bookmakers to keep this one close.
They lost 12-9 to the Seahawks in Seattle and return home to play the Rams, which lost 27-20 to the Redskins last round.
The Rams were impressive winners in week 1 over the Colts, but that might have been a false advertisement and this game is expected to be close.
Betting tip: Rams @ $1.79 – (BET NOW)
Rams by 4
11:30pm Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Balitmore Ravens @ Wembley Stadium
The Jaguars and Ravens head to England for this clash which should produce a good spectacle.
The Ravens are unbeaten having beaten the Bengals and the Browns in consecutive weeks – not exactly the hardest teams to beat, but they have more upside than the Jags.
The Jaguars looked good to start the season when beating the Texans in a one-sided affair, but they couldn’t have looked worse when losing 37-16 to the Titans.
An improved performance is needed to keep this one close.
Betting tip: Ravens –3.5 @ $1.92 (BET NOW)
Ravens by 10
3:00am Buffalo Bills vs. Denver Broncos @ New Era Field
It was hard not to be impressed with the Denver Broncos on Monday. The Broncos destroyed the Dallas Cowboys 42-17 in a display that was impressive on both sides of the ball.
Trevor Siemian looked like a top-flight quarterback and there was plenty to like about their rushing game as well.
The Bills were stunted on offense, with only three points scored against the Panthers. Their opening week win against the Jets might have been made to look better than it was and despite being at home, we’re expecting them to struggle here.
Betting tip: Broncos -3 @ $1.92 (BET NOW)
Broncos by 10
3:00am Indianapolis Colts vs. Cleveland Browns @Lucas Oil Stadium
Two winless teams face off here and it could be one of the worst games this season.
The Colts have averaged only 11 points in two games this season and they haven’t played stout defenses. That’s not a good sign going forward and this could be a good opportunity for the Browns to show some respite.
The Browns looked good in patches against two tough defensive sides in the Ravens and Steelers, so their performances might be stronger than they look.
The Browns are the road favourites which many punters thought would never happen.
Betting tip: Browns @ $1.90 (BET NOW)
Browns by 2
3:00am Minnesota Vikings vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ U.S. Bank Stadium
There are currently no odds up for this match yet, but the Buccaneers should be the road favourites after beating Chicago easily.
The Buccs’ are seemingly on track with their offense in the early stages of the season, but the same can’t be said for the Vikings, which have given up more points than they’ve scored.
A hefty loss to the Steelers last week put the Vikings on the back foot and it will take some effort to bounce back against a team that doesn’t like to slow down.
Betting tip: Buccaneers to win (BET NOW)
Buccaneers by 6
3:00am New York Jets vs. Miami Dolphins @ MetLife Stadium
It’s looking as though the Jets are in for another troubled season and we would be surprised to see their coach get sacked in the coming weeks.
The home side has lost to the Bills and the Raiders in two games so far, with last week’s loss coming by 45-20.
The Dolphins didn’t play in week 1, but came to form quickly by beating the Chargers 19-17 in an error-ridden final minute of play.
Jay Cutler looked at home with his new side and the roll could continue.
Betting tip: Dolphins –6 @ $1.92 (BET NOW)
Dolphins by 12
3:00am Detroit Lions vs. Atlanta Falcons @ Ford Field
This will be one of the games of the season so far as two unbeaten teams fight to stay on top.
The Lions have looked stellar so far in beating the Cardinals and the Giants, but they face a top-class team now in the Falcons.
The Falcons might have given up some of its big lead against the Packers last week, but they were always in control and they’re looking like the team that went to the Super Bowl last season.
We have been impressed with the Lions ability to stick with the running game, but it’s going to take more than that to win against the Falcons.
Betting tip: Falcons -3 @ $1.92 (BET NOW)
Falcons by 7
3:00am Philadelphia Eagles vs. New York Giants @ Lincoln Financial Field
This game couldn’t be any more different on paper as one of the best offenses comes up against a typically good defense.
The Eagles have averaged over 400 yards per game this season and the Giants have got only 278, but they own a significantly better defense to try and stop the high-flying Eagles.
Coming off a loss to the Chiefs (27-20) isn’t nearing as bad as coming off to a 24-10 loss to the Lions, so we’re favouring the team that can put plenty of points on the board – especially if NYG is still without their stars.
Betting tip: Eagles -6 @ $1.92 (BET NOW)
Eagles by 10
3:00am Carolina Panthers vs. New Orleans Saints @ Bank of American Stadium
There were some worrying signs late against the Bills, but the Panthers managed to stay unbeaten last week.
Led by a strong defense and a capable offense, the Panthers look well-placed this season with a good mix of quarterback play and running back play.
The Saints have looked woeful and critics are already calling for QB Drew Brees to find another home. That’s not a good sign and playing the Panthers at home won’t help.
Panthers should play well again.
Betting tip: Panthers –6 @ $1.92 (BET NOW)
Panthers by 13
3:00am Chicago Bears vs. Pittsburgh Steelers @ Soldier Field
The season has started poorly for the Bears, as expected. They lost to the Falcons and the Buccaneers and now the face a team that looks in the mood for another win.
The Steelers dusted off the rust that plagued them in the opening week to score comfortably against the Vikings. Big Ben looked much better at the helm and the Bears offer little resistance by the way of defense.
This should be a one-sided game.
Betting tip: Steelers –7.5 @ $1.92 (BET NOW)
Steelers by 20
3:00am New England Patriots vs. Houston Texans @ Gillette Stadium
The panic is over for Patriots fans as Tom Brady and his men did a number on the Saints after looking poor to start the season.
The Patriots gave up 42 points against the Chiefs, but limited the Saints to only 20 last week. That’s the number it would need to stay at if the Patriots are going to win this season and despite beating the Bengals, this looks like a let-down spot for the Texans.
The Texans took advantage of a poor Bengals side last week, but they now face the real deal and they should struggle.
Betting tip: Patriots -13 @ $1.92 (BET NOW)
Patriots by 24
6:05am Tennessee Titans vs. Seattle Seahawks @ Nissan Stadium
The Titans returned to the form punters expected last week with a resounding 37-16 win over the Jaguars.
Marcus Mariota looked on song as the running game dominated and the steady defense, which has allowed only 16 points in both games, looked tough to get by.
The Seahawks are in dire straits despite winning on Monday. They only narrowly beaten the 49ers at home which doesn’t say much and they showed no offense against Green Bay either.
Having scored only 19 points in two games won’t get you far in the NFL and the Titans could put a number on them.
Betting tip: Titans @ $1.68 (BET NOW)
Titans by 12
6:25am Green Bay Packers vs. Cincinnati Bengals @ Lambeau Field
The Packers might have come up short against the Falcons, but they lost no admirers on that day.
They were being beaten by some margin before Aaron Rodgers led the Packers right back into the game. Had they had more time they might have come back to beat the Falcons, but instead they will now look to the Bengals.
The Bengals have been woeful to date. They haven’t scored a touchdown yet and have scored only nine points this season.
The Packers might be missing some key players, but this one should be a romp and the bookmakers are being generous.
Betting tip: Packers –9 @ $1.92 (BET NOW)
Packers by 18
6:25am Los Angeles Chargers vs. Kansas City Chiefs @ Qualcomm Stadium
The Chargers have not been great this season and we don’t think home advantage against the Chiefs will help.
They have lost to the Broncos and Dolphins in consecutive weeks and it’s not about to get any easier. The Chiefs are rolling with wins over the Patriots and Eagles – two great offensive teams and the Chargers are not.
The bookies have this game wrong and punters can take advantage of the great points start line.
Betting tip: Chiefs –3 @ $1.86 (BET NOW)
Chiefs by 14
10:30am Washington Redskins vs. Oakland Raiders @ FedEx Field
The Redskins returned to form with a win over the Rams last week and that was a much better showing after losing in round 1 to the Eagles.
The Raiders had big expectations placed on them this season, but they’re living up to them and more. They beat the Titans in the opening round before putting on a clinic against the Jets.
This will be a harder game for the Raiders, but the confidence of QB Derek Carr and running back Marshawn Lynch is incredible and we’re expecting the roll to continue.
Betting tip: Raiders –3 @ $1.92 (BET NOW)
Raiders by 8
10:30am Arizona Cardinals vs. Dallas Cowboys @ Phoenix Stadium
It took overtime for the Cardinals to get past the Colts and they’re coming up against a Dallas side that is hurting.
The Cowboys were embarrassed against the Broncos, losing 42-17, and some of their players looked disinterested.
Running back Ezekiel Elliot was particularly poor and he gave up on a play which was intercepted and returned the other way.
We’re expecting these issues to be resolved, but it hardly gives punters confidence and we can’t see either team winning comfortably here.
Betting tip: Under 47 points @ $1.92 (BET NOW)
Cardinals by 1
