The NBL ladder didn’t change too much with the recent round, but the New Zealand Breakers did lose the advantage they had over the Wildcats.
Losses to Perth and Brisbane last week saw the win gap close to one game and it’s shaping up to be another closely-contested season in the NBL.
There are seven games for punters to sink their teeth into this week, which starts with the rematch between the Breakers and the Bullets.

5:30pm New Zealand Breakers vs. Brisbane Bullets
The New Zealand Breakers will be looking for revenge after losing to the Bullets 76-81 on Sunday.
Having led the competition for the majority of the year, the Breakers reign at the top is under threat, but things should get back to normal this week.
Home court advantage should help the Breakers avoid losing three straight games and the Bullets don’t travel well.
Bookmakers have the Breakers as dominant favourites and it’s hard to see that changing.

9:30pm Perth Wildcats vs. Adelaide 36ers
Perth got back on track last week with a commanding 89-73 win over the league-leading Breakers.
That win came away from home and we’re quite surprising at the bookmakers’ odds this week.
They’ve favouring the Wildcats by only 5.5 points against a 36ers team which is improving, but Perth Arena is the hardest venue to play NBL ball.
Adelaide scored a one-point victory over the Bullets last week and although getting the win pointed them in the right direction, more will be needed to cause an upset here.
Back Perth and watch the quality team in action.

5:30pm Sydney Kings vs. Brisbane Bullets
Not much has gone right for the Sydney Kings this season, but they have looked better with American import Jerome Randle.
The speedy point guard was the difference in the Kings’ win against the Taipans in last week’s first meeting, but they weren’t able to travel to Cairns and repeat the dose.
Home advantage will help as the Bullets face their second away game in three days, which won’t help their season.
If the Kings are to make a late run at the playoffs, a win against the Bullets is a must this week.

7:30pm Cairns Taipans vs. Melbourne United
United might have got their season back on track with a win over the Hawks on Monday and punters are expecting them to kick on now.
Melbourne have been a disappointment this season, with only six wins and five losses, but this team was always going to need time to gel and they may have clicked into gear.
The 91-73 win was a one-sided affair and the Taipans will need to be at their defensive best this Saturday.
Winning in Cairns isn’t easy for opposing teams and they’re coming off a stout win over the Kings, but United is such a stacked team talent wise and it’s tough to look past them here.

3:00pm Illawarra Hawks vs. Perth Wildcats
It’s not surprising to see the Wildcats favoured in this situation, but they could be overvalued by bookmakers.
They will be coming off a long trip from Perth to Sydney and the Hawks are a team that can catch fire quickly.
With only five wins on the season, coming up against a team with eight, it’s hardly a shock to see Perth favoured, but there is only upside with this Hawks side and they usually get hot at this part of the season.
Coach Rob Beveridge will be in no mood to drop a game against his former team and we’re predicting an upset here.
Betting tip: Hawks to win @ $2.25 (BET NOW)

5:00pm Adelaide 36ers vs. New Zealand Breakers
This game will largely depend on how these teams perform earlier in the week, but we’re giving the advantage to the Breakers.
After a tough week losing two games, the Breakers will be desperate to show why they’re still the team to beat in the NBL and the 36ers might be caught in the sights this week.
If the 36ers are able to beat Perth in Perth, we might have to change our minds, but the Breakers have more talent across the board and they’re currently paying better than odds on, which is great value on this occasion.

7:30pm Melbourne United vs Sydney Kings
Once again, we’re surprised at the bookmakers’ odds for this game.
United is favoured by only 4.5 points and we were predicting a line around the 8.5 mark. This line could move depending on how these teams perform earlier in the week, but grab the value while it’s on offer now.
United is a team that we’re predicting to get hot and although the Kings have added Randle to the mix, they still don’t have a winning record with him in the side.
Playing at Hisense isn’t easy and the Kings should struggle to get close.
Betting tip: United -4.5 @ $1.91 (BET NOW)
