Moonee Valley and Canterbury host night meetings this Friday and we have free racing tips and form across the board.
Night racing continues to be popular with Australian punters and there are some impressive types in action. Especially in the second race on the card at Canterbury where every runner has won at least once in their last three starts.

Moonee Valley free tips & form
Race 1. (18:30) Follow The Valley Handicap (1528m)
#7 – Sia @ $4.20 – BET NOW
Looking for a rebound performance, three-year-old filly Sia looks a strong chance to do just that on Friday night.
The Lindsay Park-trained filly by Fastnet Rock was a maiden winner five starts back at Geelong before running third behind subsequent stakes winner Our Crown Mistress in October.
She didn’t run well in the Twilight Glow Stakes at Sandown last start, but this is much easier and Craig Williams could make all the difference in the saddle.
Race 3. (19:30) MMR Creative Agency Handicap (1200m)
#7 – Emaan @ $4.40 – BET NOW
This is a strong form race, but Emaan looks a top chance and the odds are appealing.
Another three-year-old for Lindsay Park, the daughter of Harbourt Watch was a stylish 2.5-length winner at Geelong two starts back before running on well last start.
She finished third behind Tizso Wicked at Moonee Valley, so that track experience is going to help and she should get every chance from the inside barrier.
Race 4. (20:00) Local Roadways Handicap (1600m)
#7 – Tenappy Ladies @ $4.60 – BET NOW
There has been some early money for Tenappy Ladies, which has always promised plenty for the big ownership team.
The Michael Kent-trained four-year-old scored a narrow win at Cranbourne last month before running on well for fourth at Bendigo last time out.
He’s a runner which has always performed well at Moonee Valley with two starts for two second placings. That record should stay intact here and having in-form apprentice Stephanie Thornton in the saddle with the 3kg claim helps.
Race 5. (20:30) 55 Second Challenge (955m)
#1 – Belwazi @ $2.25 – BET NOW
Belwazi has been a solid bet for punters this season and the winning streak could continue here.
The four-year-old mare extended her winning streak to three and four wins from her five career starts. Her most recent 1.8-length win was a stellar performance on this track and she looks to have plenty of ability in this grade.
Only a heavy track has tripped her up to date and with good conditions forecasted, expect the daughter of Bel Esprit to be too slick for them again.
It’s another good ride for apprentice Stephanie Thornton.
Race 7. (21:30) Ausmeter Handicap (2040m)
#10 – Last Week @ $2.35 – BET NOW
Last Week is running out of chances, but this looks his best chance to score an overdue win.
The Darren Weir-trained four-year-old has finished close up at his last four starts, but more was expected from punters.
He has started as the $4.80, $2.30, $3.10 and $1.95 favourite at his last four starts, but this looks his easiest test to date.
He ran home well over a shorter distance last start and the rise to the Cox Plate distance should be ideal.
Canterbury free tips & form
Race 2. (18:45) Theraces Handicap (1550m)
#5 – Savacool @ $3.50 – BET NOW
This is a tricky field with numerous winning chances, but Savacool should get the best trip in transit.
The Chris Waller-trained filly was a one-length winner on debut at Newcastle before running second in a field of four at Canterbury.
That came behind race-rival Destiny’s Own, but it was allowed to dictate up front on that occasion and we’re doubting whether that will happen again here.
Drawing barrier four should allow her to find a spot just behind the leader and she looks good enough to run them down in the straight.
Race 3. (19:15) TAB Rewards Handicap (1200m)
#3– Dinnigan @ $2.15 – BET NOW
Dinnigan has yet to win a race from two attempts, but there’s plenty to like about the form from those races.
The Waterhouse/Bott-trained filly finished third behind Madeenaty on debut at Wyong in 2016 before returning from a lengthy spell in October and running fourth on this track.
That performance was to be expected after such a long break and the betting suggests she’s a much better betting proposition on this occasion.
Race 5. (20:15) TAB Handicap (1900m)
#3 – Cordero @ $2.40 – BET NOW
Cordero has been well-backed throughout the week after opening at $2.60.
The Hawkes-trained gelding is dropping right back in grade after finishing fifth at Rosehill last start and although he only battled late, this will be right up his alley.
His most recent run on this track came in May where he scored a 1.3-length win over Shield Wall and he will appreciate returning to this circuit.
There’s a lack of form with the opposition and he should take advantage.
Race 6. (20:45) Australian Turf Club Handicap (1250m)
#7 – Brave Song @ $2.35 – BET NOW
Punters have been waiting for the return of Brave Song for awhile now and the odds on offer are good enough to take.
The talented three-year-old colt finished second on debut before winning by three lengths over subsequent winner Sparky Lad on this track.
He only battled behind Shogun Sun at Randwick in August, but he’s better for the outing and this is an easier field to face.
There hasn’t been any money for his opposition and we’re predicting that he starts as the odds-on favourite.
