Manchester City sit top of the Premier League table on goal difference, following their 5-0 thumping of Crystal Palace last Saturday, leaving Palace in danger of being cut adrift at the bottom of the league. Cross-city rivals United are level on points with Pep Guardiola’s men following a gritty 1-0 win at Southampton and there were also important wins too for Chelsea, Tottenham, Liverpool and Arsenal.
Everton stopped the rot thanks to Oumar Niasse’s double whilst Brighton picked up 3 points at home, Watford won on the road again and Burnley and Huddersfield preserved their excellent records this season.
Here are our picks for the seventh round of fixtures in the Premier League:

21:30 Huddersfield vs Tottenham – John Smith’s Stadium
Huddersfield Town face their sternest test of their Premier League tenure so far as they welcome Mauricio Pochettino’s in-form Spurs to the John Smiths Stadium in Saturday’s early kick-off. The Terriers are flying high in 8th place in the league following a start in which they have only lost once but are yet to face any of last season’s top 7 sides and will be fully aware of the enormity of the task they face here. Whilst much has been made of their Wembley hoodoo, Tottenham have been in sparkling form away from home and have won all of their games on their travels this term. Despite dropping 7 points at their temporary home this season, Spurs still find themselves in 4th place in the table – only 5 points behind the Manchester clubs at the top of the league.
Huddersfield have been in great form but Tottenham are a cut above any other team they have faced this term and should have too much quality,
Betting tip: Tottenham to win and Harry Kane to score anytime – as a double ($2.35) BET NOW
Tottenham to win 2-0
00:00 Bournemouth vs Leicester City – Vitality Stadium
Leicester City ($2.61)
Bournemouth have lacked consistency so far this term and find themselves in 19th place in the league with only 3 points to their name. The fixture list hasn’t been too kind to Eddie Howe’s Cherries but the manager has spoken of his concern at his side’s defending in key areas and that will need to improve to avoid being dragged into a relegation scrap. Similarly, Leicester have encountered many of the big teams so far and whilst scoring hasn’t been an issue, the Foxes have been leaking goals – conceding an average of 2 goals per game.
Both teams need a win and with the attacking prowess on display it promises to be a fascinating encounter.
Betting tip: Both teams to score and the match to end as a draw – as a double ($4.50) BET NOW
00:00 West Ham vs Swansea City – London Olympic Stadium
West Ham ($1.90)
Swansea City ($4.90)
There is a more positive outlook around the Hammers currently who have picked up 4 points from their last 3 games and were desperately unlucky not to get anything last week against local-rivals Tottenham. Slavan Bilic looks to have the backing of the supporters and his players currently and he’ll be feeling the need to carry on picking up points with his side in 18th place. Swansea have made themselves very difficult to beat under Paul Clement but will be disappointed to have conceded a last gasp winner to Watford on Saturday. Goals look to be a problem for the Swans too – they’ve only scored 3 in their 6 games so far.
West Ham need to get back to winning ways and will need to impress their home supporters here.
Betting tip: West Ham to win and Javier Hernandez to score anytime ($4.35) BET NOW
West Ham to win 2-1
00:00 Manchester United vs Crystal Palace – Old Trafford
Manchester United ($1.19)
Crystal Palace ($23)
Manchester United have been in imperious form this season and have combined their defensive stability of last season with attacking flair and guile that make them a real contender for the Premier League title this term. Romelu Lukaku, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford look to be building the foundations for a big future at Old Trafford and Jose Mourinho must be delighted with what he has seen so far from the Red Devils.
Palace frustrated Manchester City for 44 minutes last week but succumbed to a second-half onslaught and failed to score a league goal for the sixth game running. Roy Hodsgon looks to have organised his troops in a relatively short space of time but the lack of gaol threat will provide a bigger concern for the former England manager.
Provided they score early, United shouldn’t have too much difficulty against Crystal Palace here.
Betting tip: Manchester United to win with a -2.5 goal Asian Handicap ($2.23) BET NOW
Manchester United to win 4-0
00:00 West Brom vs Watford – The Hawthorns
West Brom ($2.25)
West Brom currently sit in 12th place in the Premier League table and were very unfortunate not to pick up at least a point at Arsenal on Monday evening. Tony Pulis – as always – has built his team on a resolute defence but the Baggies do look to be lacking a little creativity and have only found the net 4 times in the Premier League this term. Watford have had a magnificent start to the season and sit in 6th place with 11 points having only lost once this term. Marco Silva is making a name for himself as a manager who works well with the players he has and he also recruits effectively – making the Hornets a very attractive team to watch this term.
West Brom will be difficult to break down and these two sides could well cancel each other out.
Betting tip: Under 2.5 goals in the game ($1.62) BET NOW
00:00 Stoke City vs Southampton – Bet 365 Stadium
Stoke have had three tough fixtures at the Bet 365 to start the campaign (Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United) but have already collected 4 points at home. Mark Hughes’s men however do sit in 16th place in the league and will be feeling the need to pick up points quickly. Southampton were unlucky last week against Manchester United and posed a few problems for Mourinho’s men but couldn’t salvage anything from the game. Mauricio Pellegrino will be hoping his side can pose more of a goal threat however – with the Saints having only scored 4 goals so far this term.
Both sides need a win but The Potters are very difficult to beat at home.
Betting tip: Both teams to score and Stoke to win the match ($6.50) BET NOW
Stoke City to win 2-1
03:30 Chelsea vs Manchester City – Stamford Bridge
Manchester City ($2.55)
Manchester City travel to last season’s champions Chelsea on Saturday evening, in what promises to be a fascinating encounter at Stamford Bridge. City are sitting pretty at the top of the Premier League table following a goal glut of late – scoring 16 unanswered goals in their last 3 league games whilst Chelsea are only 3 points behind them and demolished Stoke at the Bet 365 on Saturday. Antonio Conte has been delighted with his team’s mental strength this season and the Blues have overcome dressing room unrest and heavy criticism and still look as if they can compete on four fronts this term. Whilst City, have stolen the predominance of the headlines this term with their devastating attacking football and Pep Guardiola looks to have forged the blue print all City fans hoped he would.
This could be a very even encounter with both sides full of confidence.
Betting tip: Match to finish as a draw and both teams to score ($4.50) BET NOW
22.00 Arsenal vs Brighton – Emirates Stadium
Arsenal host Brighton on Sunday afternoon hoping to continue their resurgence of late. Arsene Wenger’s men are unbeaten in their last 4 matches and will be desperate to keep their good form going against a Brighton side that secured their second league win of the season over Newcastle on Sunday. The Gunners had a very rocky start to the season with the speculation over Alexis Sanchez’s future seemingly affecting their performances as they lost to Stoke and Liverpool away from home. Following securing Sanchez’s future, Wenger’s men have comfortably beaten West Brom and Bournemouth at home whilst picking up a valuable point away at last season’s champions Chelsea. Chris Hughton will be delighted with the start his charges have made to life in the Premier League and the Seagulls sit comfortably in 13th place in the table. Brighton have only picked up one point on the road and will have to be at their best defensively to keep out the prolific Arsenal attack.
Brighton have adapted to Premier League life well but this should be too big a challenge for them.
Betting tip: Arsenal to win the match and keep a clean sheet – as a double. ($2.13) BET NOW
Arsenal to win 3-0
00:15 Everton vs Burnley – Goodison Park
Ronald Koeman’s Everton salvaged a remarkable win last weekend at home to Bournemouth in a result the Toffees will be hoping kick starts their season. Oumar Niasse came back from the wilderness to pinch the points at Goodison Park and he will be in contention once again in this one. Burnley have picked up a remarkable 5 points from their 3 away games so far – against Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool. The Blues started the season well with a hard fought win over Stoke and well-earnt draw at Manchester City but their season hit a wall after that. Heavy defeats to Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester United left the Merseyside outfit languishing in the bottom 3 but they will be hoping Saturday’s win over Bournemouth could be the catalyst to a successful season. Sean Dyche’s men have shown incredible resilience this term on the road and have only conceded 4 goals in 3 matches against Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham and the Clarets currently sit in 9th place in the table
Everton will be eager to put a run together and should just have a little too much quality for Burnley despite their good form of late.
Betting tip: Everton to win and both teams to score – ($4.00) BET NOW
Everton to win 2-1
23.30 Newcastle United vs Liverpool – St James’s Park
Newcastle United ($5.5)
Rafa Benitez welcomes his former employers to St James’s Park looking for a much needed win. Newcastle went down 1-0 to fellow promoted side Brighton last Sunday and will be eager to get back to winning ways against a Liverpool side that are leaking too many goals currently. Jurgen Klopp’s men picked up their first away win of the campaign at Leicester last Saturday thanks to Simon Mingolet’s penalty save from Jamie Vardy but their defensive problems were highlighted once again.
Liverpool have had their problems defensively and will find Newcastle difficult opposition, but could benefit from playing with a little more freedom away from home.
Betting tip: Mohamed Salah to score anytime and Liverpool to win the match ($4.55) BET NOW
